GraphoGame English game now available in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan, May 16, 2024—GraphoGame, an award-winning educational game, is proud to announce its availability to users in Uzbekistan. Our literacy game supports now users learning to read in British English.

“Early English language learning is becoming increasingly evident in Central Asia, notably in Uzbekistan. While Russian has historically held sway as the second most spoken language alongside Uzbek, there’s now a discernible trend towards prioritising English proficiency from a young age. Understanding the global significance of English and acquiring proficiency in the language gives individuals in Uzbekistan a distinct competitive edge in their future careers”, says Mervi Palander, CEO of GraphoGame.

Even though there’s a considerable increasing tendency among young people to learn English for job/education purposes, no more than 5-10% of the population in Uzbekistan can communicate in English.”

GraphoGame won the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize in 2023 and has been awarded the prestigious certificate for efficacy by the International Certification of Evidence of Impact in Education (ICEIE). These speak volumes about GraphoGame’s effectiveness. It will be instrumental in advancing literacy development from early years onwards now also in Uzbekistan.

GraphoGame’s Founder and CEO, Mervi Palander, expresses gratitude for collaborating locally with different partners. “We are so grateful to our partners for making the GraphoGame available through a local webshop in Uzbekistan. We look forward to expanding our availability there further with time.”
